Welcome to January 2019’s business income report where I show you how I made money online last month. Now it’s time to look at the first month of 2019 and see exactly how I made money blogging.
If you’re new to RoadToFreeLife you may ask yourself why I publish my income report each month. I started my blog in November 2018, a few months ago, and my main intention was just to write about things that I’m passionate about. I never thought that I would make money so fast with my blog. If you are interested to see my latest income reports, you can find it on this link.
In January I’ve been writing 10 posts. If you are interested to start your own blog, here you can find a tutorial about how I started my blog. Or you can skip the tutorial and go directly on Bluehost and get your blog right now. First thing I did was to apply for a few Affiliate Programs. And then I just promoted my content on Pinterest.
Here it is exactly how I made $765.42 in January with my blog:
Affiliate income – $119.42 total:
- Bluehost (check out my tutorial on how to start a blog) – $517.28
- Shopify Affiliate (check out my tutorial on how to make your online store) – $239.21
- Swagbucks – $0
- Picmonkey – $0
- ConvertKit – $0
Display advertising – $8.93
Of course, $765 is not a lot of money and you can’t live on that, and blogging is not my main source of income. I have another online business that brings me money every month.
Today I decided to publish my complete January income from my online business, but I won’t do this every month.
Etsy: I have an Etsy store, where I sell digital products. I open my store in June 2018. In January 2019 the income which comes generated from my store was $6,438.
And the best part is that once you have a product it will sell over and over again. Everyone can start an Etsy store and sell digital products. I recently published a post about how to start your own Etsy shop, so if you’re interesting, you can check it out here. At the beginning I had to work about one week, just to create and publish my first 50 products, but now it was definitely worth doing that when I work about 2-3 hours per week to maintain the store. You can make this kind of money or even more if you are willing to put the work.
Shopify: My main source of income comes from my Shopify Store. In January 2019, I made a $34,890. This seems like a lot, but my net profit is usually about 45%-50%. In the last month, it was $16.050.
I have a post where I explain step-by-step how to start your Online Shopify Store. If you are interested, click here to check it out.

I sell physical products in the dropshipping system. If you never hear of that, what you have to do is to find an online supplier, get a catalog of their products and chose which one you want to list on your store. For example, the supplier sells a product for $2. You can list the product on your website for $4 (or more). When someone purchases the product, you will order the product from your supplier for $2 and set the delivery address directly to your client address. When I first started my store, I used Aliexpress to find products to list on my store, but after a while, I found some US-based suppliers with more quality products and much faster delivery.
Another way I make money is with my Rental Property. I own a small apartment, currently rented to some students. From there I collect every month $450.
The total amount I made in January was $22,482.29.
My goal is that by the end of the year to double this money and make $50.000 every month.
What are your financial goals for this year?
Wow! Being from Russia and reading this article about your monthly income is blowing my mind. Great job! Keep going towards your goal. You are a huge inspiration for me!
Thank you Anna!
Any idea about US-based suppliers?
Thank you for all.
There are plenty of suppliers but it depends on your niche
