Welcome to February 2021’s business income report where I show you how I made money online last month. I haven’t posted my income reports for about one year because I worked on other businesses. But this is the most amazing thing about having a blog. Even if I didn’t have any interaction, it still made me money, more than before.
If you’re new to RoadToFreeLife you may ask yourself why I publish my income report each month. I started my blog in November 2018, published a few articles and my main intention was just to write about things that I’m passionate about. I never thought that I would make money so fast with my blog even without posting anything for a year. If you are interested to see my latest income reports, you can find them on this link.
In March I’ve been writing one post. If you are interested to start your own blog, here you can find a tutorial about how I started my blog. Or you can skip the tutorial and go directly on Bluehost and get your blog right now. The first thing I did was to apply for a few Affiliate Programs. And then I just promoted my content on Pinterest.
Now it’s time to look at March 2020 and see exactly how I made money blogging.
Here is exactly how I made $7,457.56 in March with my blog:
Affiliate income – $6,847.42 total:
- Bluehost (check out my tutorial on how to start a blog) – $2419.43
- Shopify Affiliate (check out my tutorial on how to make your online store) – $635.56
- Swagbucks – $0
- Picmonkey – $48.32
- ConvertKit – $0
Display advertising – $610.14
Sure, $7,450 is not a lot of money, and can’t say you can live comfortably on that, but considering that I haven’t “touch” my blog for a year, I can say it’s great, and blogging is not my main source of income. I have other online businesses that bring me money every month.
Today I decided to publish my complete February 2021 income from my online business, but I won’t do this every month.
And the best part is that once you have a product it will sell over and over again. Everyone can start an Etsy store and sell digital products. I recently published a post about how to start your own Etsy shop, so if you’re interesting, you can check it out here. In the beginning, I had to work about one week, just to create and publish my first 50 products, but now it was definitely worth doing that when I work about 2-3 hours per week to maintain the store. You can make this kind of money or even more if you are willing to put in the work.
Shopify: My main source of income comes from my Shopify Store. In February 2021, I made $145,842. This seems like a lot, but my net profit is usually about 45%-50%. In the last month, it was $69.344 after all the expenses.
I have a post where I explain step-by-step how to start your Online Shopify Store. If you are interested, click here to check it out.

I sell physical products in the dropshipping system. If you never hear of that, what you have to do is to find an online supplier, get a catalog of their products, and chose which one you want to list in your store. For example, the supplier sells a product for $10. You can list the product on your website for $30 (or more). When someone purchases the product, you will order the product from your supplier for $2 and set the delivery address directly to your client’s address. When I first started my store, I used Aliexpress to find products to list on my store, but after a while, I found some US-based suppliers with more quality products and much faster delivery. Currently, I have 4 employees who handle all the orders and customer service for me.
Another way I make money is with my Rental Property. I own a small apartment, currently rented to some students. From there I collect every month $470. And planning to buy more real estate in the future.
The total amount I made in March from all the other businesses except my blog was $69,511.
My goal is that by the end of the year to double this money and make over $150.000 every month.
