You should invest in quality office furniture if you haven’t done it yet. You don’t have to go with the top of the line, but Ikea offers affordable furniture and simple to set up in your home office.
4. Don’t Work in “home clothes”
I know this is one of the main reasons why people thinking about working from home. But you will kill your productivity if you are doing that. Try wearing the same clothes as you would if you would have to go to the office.
5. Create a Morning Routine
Eating a healthy breakfast and making some exercise in the morning can really boost your productivity lever through the day.
6. Stay Off Social Media
We can all agree that we are all doing this from time to time, but it can be a huge time-suck if we aren’t careful. Some people use social media more time that they spend working or sleeping.
7. Invest in Quality Technology
Sure, this may require a small investment, similar to starting a new business, you may have to buy technology like a desktop, laptop or tablet. But a high-performance device will save you a lot of time and you’ll be able to focus on your work, not on device troubles.
8. Take Short Breaks
Even this article focused mostly on how to stay productive while working from home, taking breaks is very important. Research has shown that taking short breaks can actually increase productivity and creativity levels.
9. Step Outside
You can bost your creativity and productivity by stepping outside a few times throughout the day.
10. Invest in a Good Pair of Headphones
Even if you a new laptop, you will want to invest in a quality pair of headphones with a microphone. Noise-canceling features can really help improve the clarity of your calls.
